Dr. Steve Aimi

Owner/Veterinarian

Dr. Steven Aimi was raised in Connecticut and completed his undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences at the University of Vermont. He earned his Doctorate degree from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. After graduation Dr. Aimi worked as a general practitioner in Corfu, NY. He joined Your Country Vet in July 2017.  In January 2020 Dr. Aimi purchased the clinic which now operates as Spencerport Country Veterinarian.

Dr. Aimi is certified in veterinary acupuncture and will be offering this service for pain relief as well as to help animals with neurologic and musculoskeletal disorders. In addition to acupuncture, Dr. Aimi has professional interests in surgery, dentistry, behavior, pain management and physical therapy.    He is a member of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) and NYSVMS (NYS Veterinary Medical Association).

At home, Dr. Steve and his wife Janelle have 4 daughters (including twins!).   They are joined with their fur dog Nash, a King Charles Cavalier.

His hobbies include: golf, glassblowing, art, curling, board games, and spending time with his wife and daughters.

Dr. Kevin Coughlin

Referral Orthopedic Surgeries - by appointment only.

Dr. Coughlin graduated with honors from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University in May 2008. Following his graduation he spent a year working as an associate veterinarian at Southeast Alaska Animal Medical Center in Juneau, Alaska.

Dr. Coughlin chose to work in Juneau because the facility functioned as the referral center for Southeast Alaska. Animals from smaller southeast Alaskan communities were often flown into Juneau so Dr. Coughlin could provide care not offered in their location. It was there that Dr. Coughlin became well skilled in more advanced orthopedic and reconstructive surgeries as well as emergency medicine and critical care.

Dr. Coughlin is looking forward to continuing to provide orthopedic surgeries for our Clients and Patients he has helped over the many years.
